There Are Antelopes on Antelope Island
It was snowing all night again and next morning I went to Antelope Island to take pictures. To my surprise there wasn't any sign of snow. The weather was warm and nice.
I was so thrilled when I saw antelopes for the first time on Antelope Island.
I was leaving the island and suddenly noticed the antelopes. I stopped the car, changed my lens and began to move slowly toward them and then heard an angry voice behind my back, "Stay on the road! " It was a state security guy.
That was a disappointment. Of course, I am not sure how close the antelopes would let me approach them.
That was such a joy to watch these beautiful and graceful animals. Yes, there are antelopes on the Antelope Island.

Beautifully done, Kaya. Awesome photos. Is Antelope Island a park? It sounds like it may be if there is a warden enforcing the rules. We have Antelope here in southern Alberta as well. They are a beautiful animal.

Horst, Antelope Island is a state park. It is very deserted and there are wild life there but it is very nicely preserved and taken care of.
ReplyDeleteAnd i believed it's only a legend, giving the name to the place... Wow. They are there... Can imagine your feeling seeing the antilopes for the first time

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful antelope that you've photographed. They seem so calm in their environment. Must be very nice to you can see them at home.
ReplyDeleteLandscapes of the first and last photo are gorgeous. Several months have passed since I have not reached the mountains. I miss to walk their paths again. Just waiting to warm weather.
Warm hugs from Carmen
